Recreational
The goal of the BYHC Recreational Program is to teach players the fundamentals of ice hockey in a recreational environment, provide a setting where learning about the game of hockey is fun and safe and promote affordable youth hockey opportunities in the Baltimore metro area. The Recreational program is designed to provide equal opportunity to participate with even competition of players at the same skill level. Teams participate in the Capital Corridor Hockey League (CCHL).
Ages
We have programs and teams for players with birthyears between 2008 - 2017.
When
The season runs from October to March.
Where
The Baltimore Stars utilize Reisterstown Sportsplex in Baltimore County and Mt. Pleasant Ice Arena in Baltimore City for practices and home games.
Practices
While practice days, time, and frequency vary by age division, rec teams will have one practice per week.
Games
Most rec teams will have one game per weekend.
Jerseys
Jerseys are provided by the club.
Equipment
All participants are required to provide their own hockey equipment. Depending on availability, BYHC may have goalie equipment to loan to players.
Crossbar
After you register for the season, please download the Crossbar app for your smart phone. You will use the same login credentials that you used during registration. Please be sure that notifications are turned on for this app. All schedules and most team communication will be done through Crossbar.
