2023-2024 Travel Teams & What to do Next

Travel tryouts have officially ended and a new round of competitive Stars teams are in the making! Congratulations to all of our players for their hard work on the ice and thank you parents for coming back to BYHC for another exciting season of hockey.

Now that our Travel Team Tryouts have wrapped, here is a brief overview of what comes next:

Travel Team Roster Announcements (10U-18U)

  • Travel Rosters will be posted on the website Home Page by the end of business Thursday, April 27.
  • If your player attended tryouts, but you already know they do NOT intend to play for a Stars Travel team, please email Boe Leslie now.
  • Tryout jersey colors and numbers will be used instead of names.
  • Families will have 48 hours to DECLINE offered roster positions.

To Accept a Travel Roster Position

  • Register for the 2023-4 Season.

To Decline a Travel Roster Position

  • Email Boe Leslie within 48 hours of roster announcements.
  • If your player attended tryouts, but you already know they do NOT intend to play for a Stars Travel team, please email Boe Leslie now.
  • If you choose to play for a BYHC Rec team instead, please email Boe Leslie within 48 hours for instructions.

If You Were Not Offered a Travel Position

  • ...and choose to play for a BYHC Rec team, we will send you instructions on how to register. 

Travel Roster Notes

  • In efforts to field the most competitive teams possible in some cases a full roster may not be selected immediately.
  • As this is a very busy time for the club, please DO NOT contact the Hockey Director or members of the Board of Directors about player team placements for at least 24 hours following the posting of rosters.
  • If you have questions about what to do next, feel free to contact any administrative member of the club.

Girls Travel Tryout Registration Closes Friday at 5pm!!

Girls Travel Teams

Saturday, April 29 - Sunday, April 30

All tryouts will be held at Reisterstown Sportsplex. In addition we are offering pre-tryout skates. Please check the site calendar, the Travel Program page and the Girls Program page for tryout schedules and more information. Registration is now open.

Our Mission

Since 1961, the mission of the non-profit Baltimore Youth Hockey Club and its previous formations has been to teach the youth of our community the sport of ice hockey and to develop team play and individual ice hockey skills through clinics and programs of ice hockey competition emphasizing sportsmanship, cooperation, self-discipline, self-confidence, individual responsibility and respect for others, while providing a great ice hockey experience. It’s the stated goal of our club to offer this hockey experience on several levels: Solid AA, A and B-level travel hockey, an always-solid rec-hockey program, plus girls only teams when possible and the Patterson Park Stars community service program.
