Dear Stars Families -
We are now opening registration for the upcoming 2020-2021 season. To help us prepare for the team selection process, we are asking that all players must register by June 19th to be considered for one of our Stars Travel teams. We are unsure when and if we will be able to offer tryouts in a reasonable time frame, so this process will allow our hockey director and our coaches to plan for our season. There will be a $75 registration deposit for the season, which will be applied to your season dues. To register, you will have to obtain a USA Hockey Number for the upcoming season, which is required by USA Hockey and is non-refundable.
While we all hope for a full return to hockey, if USA Hockey and the Potomac Valley District decide we cannot play the 2020-2021 season, then all fees paid will be returned in full. And as soon as the direction on the upcoming season becomes more clear, we will also be announcing our season fee structure. We are currently looking at ways of potentially reducing costs to our club members this year, such as offering a prorated season fee based on when we are able to resume play. Again, with all the unknowns we are dealing with, we will communicate in as timely a manner as we are able to.
