Announcement of Annual Meeting

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce Wednesday, April 9th at 7 pm as our annual BYHC meeting date. It will be held at Mt. Pleasant in the upstairs room overlooking the ice.

This meeting will be a great opportunity for you to be updated on all of the various activities that the Board of Directors have been diligently working on over the last year and plans being implemented to improve your hockey experience for the upcoming season. There will be time allotted for a question and answer period as well as a request to the membership to help us with many of the open positions.

Topics and events to be covered include the following:

• Awards for the 2013-14 season presented by our Hockey Director Boe Leslie
• Introduction of the Board and their positions of responsibility
• The financial status of the club
• Summary results of the parent survey
• Details on the launch of our new website
• Equipment and Uniform status
• Upcoming tryout details
• Travel and Rec team update
• Board Positions that are open
• Request for nominees to the Board and subsequent voting on these positions
• Request for volunteers for non-Board positions

Please come prepared with questions and suggestions for improving your club.  If anybody is interested in joining the board and would like to throw their name into the hat, if you could please submit a brief (i.e. three or four sentences) biography to Rob Snow at Robert.Snow@byhc.org prior to the meeting it would be helpful for those members that do not know you. For those interested in helping in non-board positions we will be posting descriptions of open positions where we could really use your assistance. We look forward to seeing you and will do our best to keep the meeting punctual and efficient.

We are also announcing the roll out of our brand new registration system and in a week or two we will be launching a brand new website.  You have likely received an email and membership card from our new partner Total Hockey about their rewards program. We have partnered with them and SportNgin to enhance our club web presence and communication process. More details will be provided at the meeting.
