Stars Selects Spring Hockey

Baltimore Youth Hockey Club is excited to announce that the Stars Selects will be returning in 2025! Don’t pass up on this opportunity to stay on the ice during the Spring and compete in 2 tournaments!

Tryouts will be held on April 19, 2025 at Reisterstown Sportsplex. Registration is required to try out. If you are unable to attend the tryout, but wish to play, please reach out to schedule a supplementary tryout. Please see below for exact times.

Our Spring program will be led by Kristian Trifonov. Coach Trif has been with BYHC for the past three seasons, head coaching our 14U A team in 2023-24, and most recently, our 16U A team this past season. Uniform Fees*

Jerseys - $50

* Returning players are not required to buy jerseys.

Tryout fee will be reduced from the team registration fee upon acceptance.

Teams

Our goal is to field one team at each age group. A minimum of 12 skaters and 1 goalie will be required to form a team. No team will have more than 18 skaters and 2 goalies. Each team will participate in 1 tournament (Hershey Summer Sizzler,) with the possibility of a second tournament from a team-to-team basis (Cherry Blossom Showdown.) We hope to place every team in the A division for both tournaments, however, we will make decisions on a team-to-team basis based on final team rosters.

Cherry Blossom Showdown - Laurel, MD - May 16-18, 2025
Hershey Summer Sizzler - Hershey, PA - June 6-8, 2025

* Participation in these programs does not require players to be current members/players with BYHC.
** Note that each tournament will require sufficient player interest in order to field a team (ideally 12+ players plus goalie).
*** Participation in the Cherry Blossom Showdown will vary from team to team.

Tryout Schedule

Practice Schedule

Practices will begin on May 4, 2025, and will continue through the end of May. All practices will be held at Reisterstown Ice Rink. Each team is guaranteed 4 practices (2 prior to each tournament.) Please see below for details:
