2024-2025 Baltimore Girls Ice Hockey Season

The BYHC Girls Program has announced program offerings for the 2024-2025 ice hockey season! Check out all the offerings this season available to our female hockey players. 

Free Summer Girls Night Out Hockey Sessions

Mark your calendars! It's time again for the BYHC Girl's Program to host our summer girls skates to keep them on the ice over the break. This year, we'll have 8 sessions starting in April and ending in August. We'll have some fun skating, doing some drills and scrimmaging. The dates and times are below and all sessions will be at Reisterstown Sportsplex.

2024 Summer Ice Schedule:

  • May 19 • 12:30-1:30pm
  • June 8 • 1:00-2:00pm
  • June 22 • 1:00-2:00pm
  • July 7 • 12:15-1:15pm
  • July 21 • 2:00-3:00pm
  • August 4 • 1:30-2:30pm

2024-2025 Baltimore Girls Ice Hockey Season

The Baltimore Stars are excited to offer a range of opportunities for Girl Hockey players this upcoming season. As part of registering with BYHC, the following opportunities will be offered to our female athletes.

  • Travel teams competing in the CBHL
  • Weekly Girl’s Hockey practices available to all age groups
  • Possibility for Non-League Games
  • Ponytail Tournament Team(s)
  • 8U/10U Girls Team to attend Beach Bash
  • Jamborees for 8U girls
  • Experienced and committed coaching staff

Registration opens for the 2024-2025 season by June 1! Players of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate.

Players who have tried out for our 12U or 16U/19U teams and have committed to those teams will pay a $1,300 tuition for the season.

Financial Aid Scholarship Program

Ice Hockey is an expensive game and is often not easily afforded by everyone. As a result, a financial aid scholarship program has been established. Apply now. 

The Registration "Girls Program" is not currently available.

GIRLS PROGRAM COACHING PROFILES

COACH AND PROGRAM DIRECTOR JAMES EMERICK

James is a Level 4 USAH certified coach who has coached youth hockey in the area for over a decade. He has been head coach of the BYHC girls 12U travel team and assistant coach for multiple BYHC co-ed travel teams. James is passionate about girls’ hockey and creating an exciting, rewarding, and safe environment to help our athletes have fun and grow.

COACH JULIA RODRICKS

Julia started her hockey career with BYHC and the Susquehanna Rapids girl's program. She finished high school playing with the Mid-Fairfield Stars in Connecticut and went on to play NCAA DIII hockey at Connecticut College. Julia has been coaching with BYHC since 2016, quickly after returning to Baltimore, and is now the head coach of the BYHC 16/19U girls’ team. Julia finished her Master's Degree at UMD in Urban and Regional Planning and now works for a local Baltimore real estate development firm.

COACH NICK RODRICKS

Coach Nick Rodricks grew up in Baltimore playing for the Baltimore Stars. He played club hockey at Connecticut College where he was also captain of the men's varsity lacrosse team. After college Nick continued to play lacrosse with the French national team, participating in World Games and European championships. Nick began coaching lacrosse after college and spent 5 years coaching in the MIAA. He's happy to be joining his sister Julia as a coach in the girl's program with BYHC.

COACH BRE CROSSON

Bre is originally from Michigan and grew up playing with her local program. In high school she played AAA in Detroit and her last year played Tier 1 in Canada and then played 4 years of NCAA DIII at Stevenson University. While playing at Stevenson she started coaching with Foundations Hockey in 2020 and is now the head coach of the BYHC 12U girls’ team. Bre works as the Assistant General Manager at the Reisterstown Sportsplex.

COACH MEREDITH TOMEO

Meredith Tomeo grew up in central Pennsylvania playing for the Hershey Jr. Bears girls’ organization. She went to American University in Washington, DC where she played for their former women's team in the DVCHC. She began coaching for the Baltimore Stars Girls Program in 2022 and is currently assistant coach for the 12U girls’ team. Meredith has a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Indiana University and currently works for Johns Hopkins. Meredith is a certified Level 2 USA Hockey coach.

COACH PAIGE SULLIVAN

Paige grew up in New York and played her youth hockey with the New Jersey Colonials. She played NCAA DIII hockey at Stevenson University and served as assistant captain her senior season. Paige began her coaching career working with Foundations Hockey and Baltimore County Crash and has started her association with BYHC as an assistant coach for the 12U girls’ team. Paige has an education degree and currently works as a teacher.
