Baltimore Youth Hockey Club is proud to announce our 2014 - 2015 season award winners. The Wallen, Cornbrooks, Travel MVP and Rec MVP will be awarded their respective trophies, which can be viewed in the trophy case at Reisterstown.

All 10 winners will receive gift certificates from Total Hockey. Hockey Director Boe Leslie will present these awards at the Annual meeting on April 15 at 6:45 pm at Mt. Pleasant. All award winners are asked to please be in attendance. Thank you again to all of our players, coaches, parents and volunteers.

Ryan Potler Award - Rec MVP: Julia Harmon

Julia led her Peewee Rec White team all the way to the championship game in their season ending CCHL tournament. She was a dominant force every game and led her team all season long in both the offensive and defensive zones.

Rec Unsung Hero: Dominic Yacovella

Dominic took control of both the defensive zone and the offensive zone blue line. His consistent effort and willingness to do all for the team helped the Peewee Green team to a CCHL tournament championship.

Rec Coach of the Year: Dennis Lynch

BYHC would like to thank Dennis for another great year with the club. Most importantly, his players worked hard, improved and had fun. Thank you Dennis.

Travel MVP: Patrick Meckel

Patrick led the way to a Peewee B Championship for his team. He was a leader both on and off the ice and greatly respected for this by both coaches and peers.

Travel Unsung Hero: Xander Smith

In just his second year of travel hockey, Xander made the jump from Squirt Lower A to Peewee Upper A. As a goalie, this is one big stride! He backstopped his team all the way to the Peewee Upper A championship game.

Most Improved Player: Danny Leikus

In only his first year of hockey, Danny decided to strap on the goal pads. A very courageous move! His consistent effort and dedication to the position were noted by players, parents and coaches.

Travel Coaches of the Year: Dan Fastovsky and Jason Brover

Dan and Jason led their group of U16 Upper A players to a CBHL championship this year! With a small roster, this group played a great team game and accomplished great things!

Eric Wallen Award: Cory Brewer

Cory Brewer is the winner of the Eric Wallen Award which is given each season to a graduating player. In his third season with the U18 team, Cory was heavily relied on as the leader both on and off the ice.

Bruce Cornbrooks Award - Volunteer of the Year: Jen Thompson

As most of us know at BYHC there is nothing that gets done at this club that Jen does not have a hand in. She works tirelessly to organize, fund raise and just make BYHC a better place for every member of this club. Her energy is endless and she does it with such style and grace. Her smile is pervasive and is the constant reminder of what we are here for and is the true face of BYHC. She leads the charge to make this a quality place for our future citizens. She brings her many talents and gifts to help raise the profile and support of our organization. We can’t think of anyone who deserves this award more.
