Coach Billy has been around the game in Baltimore for many years. As a player, he was part of the first Midget team from Maryland to ever go to the Nationals. He played Junior Hockey with the Indianapolis Ice and followed that with a brief stint with the Columbia Chill of the International Hockey League. He is a Level 4 coach that has coached at the Squirt, Peewee U16AA and U18AA levels. He also worked as an assistant equipment manager in both the American Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League. His job duties included breaking down game tape analysis with the professional coaching staff.
Pat Donnellan will be back this year as a Head Coach with our Stars program. We are very excited to have him back for his third season as a Head Coach. Last season he was the Bantam A coach and has also been the Squirt A coach. Pat grew up playing youth hockey in Baltimore, before playing high school hockey at prep school in Vermont.
Lee started playing hockey in Columbia Maryland when he was 8 and continued through his senior year. He and his club teammates started the public high school hockey league in Howard County when he was a student at Mt. Hebron High. After high school Lee played 4 years for the University of Maryland where he was the Captain and President of the team. Lee has been coaching for the last 9 years at all levels from cross-ice to bantams. This will be Lee's second year coaching with BYHC.
A Maryland native, Holly and her daughter Samantha (a former forward at Penn State) developed a love for hockey after watching the movie "Miracle." She is currently a Level V Coach for BYHC. Holly has coached girls', boys, women’s and co-ed hockey teams, having served as Assistant and Head Coach of the Frederick U12, U16 and U19's teams (2006-2008), the Mt. Hebron High School team (2004-2009) and Howard County Junior Varsity team (2007-2010), Susquehanna Rapids U19 and U14 Travel 2008-2010 and Rapids Blue 2009-2011. Women’s level C MAWHA Killer Bees 2011-2012 She also was the coordinator of the Maryland Scholastic Hockey League Academic All Star Program (2008-2011). She has coached and run the Rapids travel program and the BYHC Girls Program (2012-2015) and currently continues to coach with BYHC.
Jamie Bell is a coach and Co-Director of the Girls Program at BYHC. Growing up in Baltimore County, she began playing ice hockey at Ice World in Abingdon, MD. She played for the BYHC North Stars Bantam team and then began playing on the first BYHC girls teams at the U14 and U19 levels when she was fourteen, which she continued on throughout high school. She attended college at the University of Maryland College Park where she played on the Women’s Club Team. Jamie now plays for the District Renegades Women’s C Team and in co-ed leagues at Laurel.
A USA Hockey certified Level 3 coach, this will be Jamie's fifth year coaching with the BYHC Girls Program, at various age groups.

Tony grew up playing in Peoria, Illinois, and played on his high school varsity team and on travel teams through his first year of undergrad. Tony came to Maryland in 2014 for grad school at Johns Hopkins University and started coaching on a co-ed peewee team and helping out with the girls program. He continues playing in multiple leagues in Laurel. Tony is a USA Hockey certified Level 3 coach, this will be his fourth year coaching with BYHC.

Coach Mike grew up playing at the Tier 1 level for both the Washington Little Caps and then the Washington Junior Camps. After 3 years at DeMatha High School, he left to play 2 years of Prep School at the Gunnery School. At the University of Rhode Island, he played 4 years of Varsity Hockey capping off his career as a captain in his senior year. He has been an assistant coach with our U16 team for the past 2 seasons.

Coach Jake grew up playing all of his youth hockey here in Maryland. He finished his youth years playing U18AA for Baltimore. During those years he also set a high school record for points in the Maryland public school league. That record lasted until this past season when another Balimore player broke it! During the 2016-17 season, Coach Jake was an assistant at both the U18 and Squirt levels. This will be his first year as a Head Coach.
Coach Sean is a local product who finished his youth years playing U18 for Baltimore. He then went on to play 3 years of Club Hockey at the University of Vermont. He has worked at hockey schools for years and is very excited to be joining a coaching staff for the upcoming season.
Jason will be returning for his third season with our U16 team with this being second as the Head Coach. Jason grew up playing some of his years within BYHC before playing AAA for the Central Penn Panthers and Washington Jr Capitals. He played 4 years of Varsity Hockey for Calvert Hall High School before embarking on 4 years of Club Hockey at Elmira College in New York.
Dan will be returning to BYHC, and this year will be his third year as our U18 Head Coach. Dan grew up in the Baltimore area playing some of his years within BYHC. He played 2 years of AAA with the Virginia Statesman while also playing for Franklin High School. He played 4 years of Junior Hockey for the Frederick Freeze. His U18 Upper A team lost in overtime in the championship game of the CBHL in 2015-16. His U16 Upper A team won the CBHL championship. His U18 Upper A team won the CBHL championship this past season.
